Art is usually exempt. Check with your country's Customs Department for particulars. ) When payment is received, your painting will be shipped via "Best Method" by a reputable carrier and insured for the value. If you pay by cheque, make it payable to Janet Carmichael. Paintings are shipped after personal cheques have cleared through both banks. If you're not comfortable with that, please use Shipping Information Shipping is usually regular surface economy by a reputable commercial carrier chosen by me for best price and service to you. It varies, depending on the destination, which is why I cannot give a standard fee for everyone. Paintings are shipped in cardboard packaging. Shipping to U.S.A. and Canada is usually by mail or courier and takes 2-3 weeks. The price for shipping includes insurance, wrapping and cardboard packaging. Wooden crating can be arranged at further cost. I ship my paintings stretched, if on stretchers, not rolled and find the best method for each delivery, depending on cost and service you desire.
